Today the Church celebrates the life of St. Andrew, apostle.
The name "Andrew" (Gr., andreia, manhood, or valour), like other Greek names, appears to have been common among the Jews from the second or third century B.C. St. Andrew, the Apostle, son of Jonah, or John (Matthew 16:17; John 1:42), was born in Bethsaida of Galilee (John 1:44). He was brother of Simon Peter (Matthew 10:2; John 1:40).

As we mentioned last night, we will be in charge of the rosary on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This will take place on Dec. 8th, at 7:00p.m. in the church. We will need 60 young people to be part of this most important and beautiful rosary. The 60 people will represent each bead of the rosary. Each person representing a bead will have a candle. Next Sunday we will begin to collect names and add them to our sign-up sheet.
Let us, as the youth group of this parish, come together to do a beautiful roasry for our parish family.
